海角社区 and Bute Council鈥檚 12-week visitor levy consultation is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated and gave their views through the surveys, information events, emails, and enquiries.
This feedback will now be passed to an independent external agency to produce a report on the findings. This report will then be presented to councillors for consideration later this year. Part of the agency鈥檚 role will involve engaging with a number of businesses to produce case studies that will provide further insight into local views on a visitor levy.
Council Leader Jim Lynch said: 鈥淚 would like to thank everyone who gave their feedback to the visitor levy consultation over the last three months. We really value your views and appreciate you taking the time to respond.
鈥淲e received more than 3,300 responses, and time will now be taken to consider all feedback and allow a representative findings report to be produced for the council. We don鈥檛 have a date for this yet, but we don鈥檛 expect it to be before August. We will provide an update by the beginning of June. Thank you again to everyone who got involved.鈥
